Speakout Digital

The videos of Speakout Digital give students the opportunity to hear language as it is really spoken in daily life, but at the same time they are a vehicle for developing language skills, inviting students to think critically and express opinions and offer personal reactions. While speaking is a particularly strong feature of the course, listening, reading and writing skills are developed and strengthened throughout the course. The student book section ends with a special reading bank, introducing students to extracts from classic works of literature and biographies of famous people in history. Each piece is linked to the themes of the unit topics and introduced by Thinking Routines. This methodology helps students formulate ideas and guides them to express those ideas. At the same time, grammar and vocabulary are recycled and reinforced. Their curiosity spiked, students will be able to read the complete book by accessing the digital library.

In addition to the Readers, Speakout Digital has an exceptional range of digital components:

• The Libro liquido, ideal for independent study, online or offline, a digital format of the book that adapts to any device and screen size. It has unique functionality to support students with dyslexia, changing text font, size and background with a simple click.
• MyApp Pearson – download the App and access the audio and video content via the QR Codes.
• MyEnglish Lab is a language practice tool that can be used to assign homework or remedial work, or that can simply be used for self-study.
• Active Teach – a USB key which contains an interactive eBook version of Speakout Digital that can be used on an interactive whiteboard and an enormous range of extra support materials, including Tests and Speakout Extra.
• Teachers book with tests and Active Teach: the guide for the teacher, with an introduction to the methodology and the didactic programmes divided by units and skills, with notes, suggestions and extra activities. In addition to that, the Active Teach, the DVD-ROM that can be used with the LIM and that contains extra audio materials, interactive exercises, evaluation activities and tests, besides various additional tools also for students with learning disabilities.
