Oliver Twist is an orphan, born in a home for the poor in England in the 1830s.
He escapes to London but, with no money and no friends, he finds himself in a gang of thieves led by a cunning old man called Fagin.
Oliver experiences many adventures and faces many dangers before he finally finds happiness and a safe home.
